Everything in Star Wars Was Done First By Flash Gordon

Everyone who breathes air has heard of Star Wars.  But less than everybody has heard of Flash Gordon.  His most recent movie was in 1980, and the newspaper comic strip first ran in 1934.  Essentially, everything done in Star Wars was done first in Flash Gordon!
